My phone says “safari can’t download this file” when i go to app.ifonetec.com I am really new to all of this… any idea what i am doing wrong?

  11. thomas on July 1st, 2008 2:43 pm

how and where can I buy this application for full access?

  12. Jonas on July 1st, 2008 5:39 pm

    He KVELEZ,

What you are doing wrong is that you are putting the source into the safari webbrowser, this is not correct.

You have to put the source in the installer application.
To do this go to installer–>sources ( lower right corner )–> edit–>add : then type the source and click OK!

Then wait until the refresh finishes and your good to go!
Hope this is what you need, Jonas

    Hi
Where I can download ssh ftp client ?

  36. Mr. Q on July 3rd, 2008 2:22 am

People, you phone needs to be jailbroken and must have installer. If you don’t have OpenSSH, find it within installer and install it. After that use WinSCP to access your iphone’s file system where you can transfer files to/from your iphone. Go to iclarified.com or modmyifone.com for tutorials. Google is your best friend!

  37. theo0221 on July 3rd, 2008 8:24 am

please send me info about the price.

  38. Frank on July 3rd, 2008 8:54 am

Great app. Works great on my 1.1.4. Can’t wait to be able to assign video tones to contacts. Would be nice to mute with the botton on the side. I had to go to ipod and turn the volume all the way down for that. The volume botton only mutes the call coming in after it starts. Great app.

how do u buy the advance features?

  42. sebax on July 3rd, 2008 11:47 am

I sent you a spanish language this afternoon, now i realize that some1 elses did it first, anyway, hope both worth.
And as feedback for the app, i dont know if some1 post about it be4 but i just noticed that videotones doesnt work when a contact has a particular ringtone (no default), just appears a black screen, it would be nice if u could choose the ringtone from the ringtones list, and if u wish to use a VTone for a particular Contact u could do it, even when default is just a Tone, hope u got the idea and sorry if u already heard about it, just keep it in mind, THX tho. cya arround

  43. haydar on July 3rd, 2008 6:37 pm

I’m sure it looks great as videotone I have visited the http://www.ifonetec.com web sit but unfortuanatly I could find out how much it cost and how 2 download the full verssion will be very good to this information thanks in advance.

  44. cinghialotto on July 3rd, 2008 10:44 pm

I sent you the italian language pack a minute ago ;-)

    I got it .Thank you.

  45. moimart on July 4th, 2008 12:45 am

I updated to 1.2 and can’t personalized video tones for each contact, i mean, i did it but somehow it always displays the Default video tone i selected and overwrites the assigned ones to other contacts.

  46. thomas on July 4th, 2008 12:56 am

for me, the same problem as moimart described

  47. sebax on July 4th, 2008 2:53 am

    <>
i disabled the video tones while its able to use just for some contacts, but now i see that the phone is responding slower, like one problem that intelliscreen had but they solve it whit the last update, when u unlock the phone it takes a moment to actually unlock and show springboard… i ll keep testing and posting, thx.

  48. sebax on July 4th, 2008 4:02 am

    Edit:
sorry double post, i updated to 1.2 and now it works fine, test whit incoming calls from contact whitout custom ringtone and works fine, add a custom videoringtone and also wrks fine, contact taht already had custo ringtone, now it doesnt show black screen, it plays the default vitdeotone, and if the video doesnt have sound, it doesnt play anything but the video, 1 Future and nice function could be integration whit the phone functions, (ringtones) that way u cand keep the custom ringtones for contacts (whiout adding them again from videotone, converting to AIFF, etc) and also have video for 1 or all the contacts, nice work, keep on this way, improving iphone lacks. thx

  56. Haha82 on July 4th, 2008 6:32 pm

Dudes, in order to use this path: /var/mobile/Media/VideoTone/Video/

You will need to download n install WinSCP which is some sort of file explorer program in order to view and manage your iphone just like the explorer in Windows.

You can download it from here:
    http://winscp.net/eng/download.php

As for videos, the simplest way i can think of would be to download from YouTube via means of a FLV downloader, converter. And then use another software to convert it to m4v or mp4 formats for use in the iPhone.

Thereafter just use the WinSCP, logon to the iPhone using the following:
user id: root / password: alpine and once you are in, navigate to the /var/mobile/Media/VideoTone/Video/ directory and copy over your converted m4v or mp4 video clips which you d/l.

I hope the above explanation was brief enough. You can also try google-ing and search for more infomation.

    Cheers!

  62. Mr. Q on July 8th, 2008 3:53 am

Rob, this program installs fine. I updated to 1.2 and it shows up under uninstall. The update pack and module also shows up as well.

  63. Rob on July 8th, 2008 4:01 am

Mr. Q. I can send you screen shots that show 1) the program is loaded on my iPhone and 2) that there is no listing to uninstall this program in the Installer. It is extremely annoying.
